In Dec 2013, Total Health initiated comprehensive Mandal level Household and Family Health Survey to understand the Health Status, socio-economic and demographic conditions of people across One Ninety-Five villages where Total Health is working at Thavanampalle Mandal, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh. Survey objective was to develop strategies which will mitigate the problem and enhance the quality life of people in Thavanampalle Mandal. Till date able to cover Thirty Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty households and reach out Eleven Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Five families. Survey still continue and will cover rest of the households in coming days.



Access to Primary Health Care remained measure challenge in the country which was also revealed during the survey. Lack of easy and frequent transportation, inaccessible far-flung remote hamlets and villages, is a huge barrier to the public in seeking quality and economic medical health care. In compliance of the idiom “If Mohamed cannot come to the mountain, The Mountain will go to Mohamed “, Total Health introduced a “Mobile Clinic” which caters to health care requirements inclusive of investigations to all the people in Thavanampalle Mandal, with periodic visits to the hamlets and villages at their door steps. Quality Primary Health Care services delivered to the community though Mobile Clinics which includes Examination, Basis Investigations, Counseling and Prescribing required Medication. Need based Special health care camps were also organized with help of Specialist from Apollo Hospitals at Aragonda & Chennai. Mobile Clinics deliver services on weekly basis in the villages from Twenty-One Gram Panchayats covering Hundred and Four habitations with a population of Twenty Thousand. About 30%people are under regular medication and the emphasis laid on the NCD patients.



Mobile Clinic is not ultimate solution to address access for Primary Health Care in the community. Also, Non-Communicable Disease in newer challenge which needs regular follow up with patients. In order to address above two, came up with concept “Satellite Clinic” with objective to deliver primary health care services at the door steps for basic aliments and Non communicable disease with more emphasis on Hyper Tension and Diabetes. Total Health First satellite clinic was inaugurated on 28th June 2015 by Mr. Narotham Reddy, President, Materials, AHEL, at Thodathara village of Thavanampalle Mandal followed by second at Thavanamaplle. With two clinics able to provide Health Care Services for Fifteen Thousand population from Nine Gram Panchayats covering Fourth Seven habitations.



Till today Nutrition that is Anemia playing crucial role in Infant and Maternal Mortality which is higher when compared to Sustainable Development Goal which suppose less then 25 per 1000 live birth in case of Infant (0-1 year) and Under 5 and MMR below 70 per 1 lakh live births. In order to reduced Maternal, Infant and Under 5 mortality to zero in Total Health operational villages, started Nutrition Supplementation centers for Pregnant and Lactating Mothers with under 5 children along with Adolescents’ Girls (AGs) who will be tentative mother in near future. At present total Eleven centers are operational which provided Six days a week Nutrition Supplement to registered beneficiary as per ICMR Dietary guidelines along with Monthly Health Checkups. In addition to this, also running three Special Nutrition centers for Elderly people to address there needs. They are also referred as Elderly Day Care centers.


A model to meet the dietary requirements of marginal rural households and ensure nutritional self. This will be a solution to our existing scenario of needless malnutrition where nearly half of our children aged less than 3 years are being underweight, 52 percent of women and 74 percent of children are anemic. NG Produces mix of vegetables and fruits throughout the year.

Design Principles: • Follows sustainable agriculture principles. • Establishment requires only smaller area. • Usage of locally available material like FYM, cow urine, biomass, native seeds etc. • Productivity starts from 45th day, fully establishes in twelve months. • Variety Produce of leafy vegetables, creepers, roots & tubers, fruits, medicinal plants, etc. • Option of three models to suit availability of land and water – Family based model, Community owned model, Institution based model.



All health issues cannot be address through Allopathic system of Medicine specially when we talk about Preventive and Promotive health care. Indian System of Medicine which is also referred as AYUSH shown significant evidence while treating conic aliments. The vision of beloved Chairman Dr. Prathap C Reddy for integration between Allopathic System of Medicine and AYUSH for Holistic Health Care Services to the community. Under Chairman guidance, Total Health introduced AYUSH Wing as a pilot project at AAH, Aragonda village, Thavanampalle Mandal. On 16th November 2015, Ms. Sangita Reddy, JMD, AHEL inaugurated the Wing.


Swarna Bindu Praashana

It is an Ayurveda immunization vaccine and it has been administered in the early years of 0 to 16 years for brain development. It helps to maintain healthy state of mind and body. Swarna Bindu Prashana provides specific immunity along with many other benefits. About Six Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-One children got the benefit from the aforesaid program and it has been administered only on PUSHYAMI NAKSHATRAM DAY as it has been considered as an auspicious day for the administration of the same as per Ayurveda.
